There are many forms of the old (ancient?) reliable Chinese formula to reduce the symptoms of respiratory illness and speed recovery. It is not meant to be preventive -- you take it at the very first sign you might be getting ill, so in that sense it is preventive, but you don't take it every day like you would a vitamin. I like this formulation because it's just the herbs; please be aware that some inexpensive formulations imported from China have acetaminophen added (yes, the stuff that is branded as Tylenol), so always check the ingredients panel when you buy Yin Chiao!

Bought it to combat my skin itchiness problems because it contains Japanese Honeysuckles which is good for relieving itchiness related issues. Have taken it for a few days now, find it helps abit but not as effective as intended.
