This absolutely works to repel insects! You do have to spray a generous amount and rub it all over your skin. You also need to spray your clothes and mist over your head. Bugs might fly near you, but they will not land on or bite you. Some reviewers said this smells bad. It doesn't smell bad to me. The wintergreen oil makes me think of root beer. The smell is strong, but it has a "natural" odor to it. It's better than using poisonous bug repellent on your skin and breathing in a bunch of chemicals, that's for sure!

Doesn't work as well as I had hoped. Didn't keep the skeeters toally at bay. Smell is not pleasant. I like the Badger Company product much better.

I live in Florida - a lot of bugs! This works great - smell is okay - not offensive. Use this for hiking through the woods. Recommended!

Nice fresh fragrance, I really wanted this product to repel mosquitoes. Unfortunately, three of us who put this product on ended up with a lot of mosquito bites afterward.

I had purchased this product many years ago, but now the formulation is changed or it is weaker. Does not work like the original. Would not purchase again.

good and natural... i prefer non chemical repellants. this is a good alternative
