I absolutely love these organic cumin seeds. The moment you open the jar, the rich, earthy aroma is incredible. Toasting them slightly before crushing releases a whole new level of flavor. They make my curries and pilafs taste authentic and delicious. Plus, knowing they are organic is a huge plus!
I hadn't realized how stale a lot of the cumin I had previously been buying was...and frontier co-op whole cumin seeds are also a great price. Financially things have been tougher in the past couple of years but I can still afford these delicious spices, which I was recommended to eat for my health many years ago by an Ayurvedic Doctor in Alotearoa, New Zealand.
I went to the local grocery store and they were selling a few ounces of whole cumin seed for like ten bucks. No thanks! This here is a HUGE AMOUNT of whole cumin seed, a way better deal! I filled up a bunch of jars with it and I'll be using it for a long time. Luckily I think whole cumin seed keeps longer than ground cumin. Great flavor. I've used this to make Molly Baz's marinated lentils – really delicious.
This is a huge amount of whole cumin seeds for the price — an amazing deal. I bought it for cooking pilaf, and it’s much more than I expected. I’ll be using it for a very long time. The seeds are fresh, aromatic, and excellent quality. Perfect if you cook often and want a high-quality spice in a large size.
This is a high quality, organic, pure cumin seeds. There is no added ingredients. The product is clean and ready to use. Just sprinkle in any recipe including soups, stews, omelets, stir fry, and you will notice enhanced flavors. The seeds helps with digestion, and will make all your dishes more enjoyable. However, the key is not to use to much. Just a pinch is enough for a regular-sized serving for one. Add more accordingly. As with all herbs, do not overuse in frequency. Several times a week may ahieve the best results.
