As soon as I opened the pack the strong aroma of this organic thyme hit me. I thought, this is what thyme should smell like. And the taste was strong, fresh and pure. Not bitter like non-organic brands I've tried. I drink it as a tea mixed with lemon balm. A really pleasant taste. I'll continue purchasing this brand now.

Thyme, also known as Bogorodskaya grass in Russia, can be found on iHerb under the "spices" section. While it is commonly used in Mediterranean cuisine, in Russia, it is traditionally used for making Thyme tea. The package contains finely-cut thyme leaves without flowers or twigs, which can be used as a seasoning for cooking but cannot be further crushed. The aroma is very intense, and it is unclear how they achieve this during the drying process. However, the essential oils in this herb are off the charts. Even a small pinch can be used to scent a room. When adding it to tea, one should use less than usual to avoid an overpowering taste. Thyme tea is commonly used to prevent and treat colds, as the essential oils present in it have potent antiseptic, antifungal, and antiviral properties. Additionally, it has a high antioxidant index.
