Mullein is a striking, easy to identify plant with large, densely furred leaves and a tall, stately flowering stalk. While it's native to Europe and Asia, mullein has become naturalized across North America and Asia. It can be found growing in a wide array of regions, from dry and rocky to wastelands and field edges. Mullein is usually biennial, meaning it seeds in the second year then dies. First year plants are rosettes of oval-shapped, woolly, grey-green leaves. In the second year, the leaves at the base of the plant (basal leaves) grow large and elongated, with successively smaller leaves developing on the lower part of a one- to five-foot flowering stalk. If you see a plant send up more than one stalk, it's generally a result of damage to the original stalk. Fragrant yellow flowers and buds are densely packed around the stalk. As the energy and virtues of the leaves move up the stem and into the flowers, the large lower leaves turn yellow and lose their effectiveness.

I ordered Mullein capsules but read the tea is more effective and I have experienced different effectiveness with the tea. It has a more calming effect, so I would not drink it during the day unless you are ill and wanting to sleep. It seems to be quality ingredients although I can't find on the package the country of origin. Huge quantity for the price. The taste is mild.
Great quality mullein! drier and more crunchy than what I usually buy, but not a bad thing.. smokes nice, usually have a 1g dose if I'm smoking, and 2 tbsp if I'm doing tea. the active ingredient in mullein really takes away all of my anxiety and gives a supreme calm feeling! also if you smoke it it will move mucus out of your chest, phenomenal for lung health.. the tea also is great for lung health, not to mention tinctures and poultice.. just a great herb all around!

the quality of the mullein is great! Beautifully sifted there's virtually no stems. The benefit of this herb is phenomenal! I've been smoking it and it's working on my lungs repairing the damage from smoking tobacco.
