Pure Essential Oil, Myrrh, 0.5 fl oz (15 ml)

I`ve read that different essential oils can contribute to a balanced state of health, and that myrrh has anti-cancer properties. I need to use humidifiers anyways because winters in Japan tend to be very dry. I like musky smells and this essential oil has a very strong, earthy, musky smell, i.e. not a light floral scent. The only reason I give it 4 stars is I wish it wasn`t so expensive - but all myrrh essential oils are expensive. This brand has a good reputation for purity. If I`m going to breathe an essential oil and hope for beneficial effects on my body, it is worth the expense to get the purest and highest grade of essential oil possible. I usually blend it with frankincense and one more oil such as orange, lemongrass, or tea tree in increasing order of sharpness when I want to keep a strong and perceptive state of mind when working for long periods of time. I`ve already ordered more, despite the cost.

Mouthwash - I dip a wooden toothpick into the Myrrh oil, then the toothpick into a cap full of mineral water to use as a mouth wash when my gums are bleeding for a few days. It taste awful only during the rinse. After your mouth feels quite fresh and clean as it acts as a antiseptic also.

Myrrh Oil has a scent that's not overwhelming. I'm glad I bought it, because it's effective for what I need. I mix it with frankincense and sandalwood in a carrier oil for a perfect blend for skin improvement. The quality is evident, and it's from a brand I trust. This oil adds a deep, grounding note to my blends without being too strong. It's a great value for its effectiveness. I give it five stars for its subtle yet powerful scent, quality, and how well it complements my other oils for use in skincare.
