When L-arginine is higher than L-lysine, some viruses tend to multiply, and L-arginine also increases from stress. So I had this at home knowing it helps get rid of viruses. One day I managed to get both a cold and a cold sore, so I took 1/2 teaspoon L-lysine powder, 1 Oregano Oil pill and a few cups of tea. The next day both the cold and the cold sore were gone. Now I take 1/4 teaspoon L-lysine powder every day and 1 Oregano Oil pill as a preventive measure. I put it in the soup in the morning cause it tastes a bit salty. I prefer this brand and form because it has nothing else added and I am in charge of the dose I take; 1/4 teaspoon = 435mg, if I need more I take more. PS: I stopped eating nuts and seeds and beans and I don’t need to take lysine anymore. Nuts and seeds and beans have too much arginine vs lysine, but as long as I don’t eat those I don’t need to take extra lysine.

I love this stuff. The package is huge and lasts forever. It doesn't have much of a taste to it. I have a quarter of a teaspoon every morning, my cold sore break outs have been almost non existent since starting and any that have popped up have remained small and healing time has halved. Would recommend this to anyone.
