i bought it for a relative who suffers from shingles Vitamin D dissolves in fats and oils, and hence, several of the topical formulations are oil-based. Vitamin D mainly serves the purpose of a moisturizer and emollient. It forms a thin layer over the skin and retains the moisture beneath it. Also, it helps to soften the skin and mend the dry textures
This D3 cream Now Foods is fantastic.. I have psoriasis and I have used it on my spots that are very dry and itchy. It has helped with healing . It is good quality and size for the amount of cream. Plus you get the benefit of a cream with vitamin D3.
The smell is orange like but light! This is a great cream to add the most important vitamin/mineral to your skin! I had shingles and this was a great healing and scar helper for them! The package is nice size and the scent is very relaxing and not overpowering. If you have shingles - this is one of the best options (natural) to help with healing properties and to also just for skin issues or rashes that need the extra help !
