I first read about this supplement while watching a documentary on Alzheimer`s. One of the problems Alzheimer patients have is in difficulty with memory and establishing new memories. This plant has been found to help develop short-term memory into long-term memory, particularly during sleep. Anything that helps memories consolidate helps to maintain cognitive health. The only reason I give this 4 rather than 5 stars is that the effects are so gentle that they are imperceptable, which is not a fault of the supplement but simple a caveat for anyone who expects miraculous and obvious results - there are none. Just a gentle maintenance which is non-observable (in my case, anyways) but is definitely occuring and worth the investment.

I LOVE Bacopa, I used it for my 14yo who has an intellectual disability and I believe she is much brighter when taking bacopa. It builds benefits in time, so she takes it in long courses (2-3months each). Bacopa has so many benefits: it may help with memory and cognitive function, anxiety and stress. Also, it contains powerful antioxidants, may reduce inflammation, and boost brain functions.

I had another brand here but I felt that the dosage was too high since I take other supplements related to the brain I wanted a lower dose and this is a very reliable company recommended to me by a nurse practitioner nutritionist. Word and thought retrieval has increased to within 3 to 5 seconds which was double that before starting this product with no other changes or additions to my daily regimen. Basically, it works, however, currently, I don't use it before I need to concentrate or study and such but more for social occasions, which make me feel a bit more focused and free I suppose. Sometimes I did take two. I will note first taking it felt pretty weird and it might not be the best for focusing on details. Quality seems very good and I do like this brand in general.
