1) Triphala is one of those supplements that need some getting-used-to. Start with a low dose (eg one capsule every other day) and see how your gut responds. 2) Triphala is supposed to be a "balancer"; if you are tending toward constipation, it will help you poop more easily and effortlessly, if you are tending toward diarrhea, it will reduce the amount of bowel movements and make your stool firmer; however, I think this is too good to be true, it's not a magic bullet. It may work like this some times, but not always. 3) You may empty the capsule contents in a glass of lukewarm water instead of swallowing the capsules; some "triphala experts" maintain that you need to "taste your triphala". 4) Best on an empty stomach, not with food. 5) Paradise Herbs is a good brand and they use only the absolute necessary fillers and binders.

I use as a gentle, non-addictive laxative. I open the capsules and add boiling water on top, then drink at a good temperature. I take it in the morning separate from aother supplements, and take 6 days on and one day off, until I fell i no longer need the help. I am told this brand uses trustworthy ingredients, and processes.
Paradise Herbs consistently have clean herbals that do not have fillers. You will see the small capsule size -- possible because of no fillers! If you take Triphala regularly, you know when a given manufacturer has a good blend of the "three fruits", which is what "tri" and "phala" means. Combining triphala with a high-fiber diet (>30-40+ gms/day) you should experience the evidence of PRO-biosis in the gut; a well formed, voluminous stool that is easy to eliminate and very regular. This is the goal and this one does it! Taking 500-1000 gms daily (two to four caps) would be a common dose, depending on weight and details of each individual. I take 2 or 3 caps per dose. I never travel without Triphala as travel disrupts many things in the daily routine and this can lead to constipation. Triphala is an effective defense. ++cj

Triphala is a wonderful blend and helps with digestion and cleansing of the body. I order Paradise brand quite a bit because they do not add rice fillers!
I really like using this product. It does help me to get a good night's sleep. The directions state to take a pill an hour before bedtime. Follow those directions!

Only one negative thing is feeling bloated after using this supplement. I don't know if it contains hemp. taste is normal.
The dosage took a few days to kick in, one day I took 3. I also take 2 magnesium complex capsules before bedtime along with 2 triphala capsules. I'm regular everyday now. The quality ingredients are organic and I like that this extract has been extracted without solvents or chemicals! I can take this without reactions and it benefits relief for my lifetime problems with constipation. I wish the amount would come in larger sizes. There's no taste. I can take it on an empty stomach. The capsules are small and very easy to swallow with water.
