This is a very advanced supplement, presenting the B vitamins in the forms most easily absorbed by the body. Included are PQQ and NADH, little-known but potentially crucial nutrients that won't be found in any other b-complex formula. I take one first thing in the morning, on an empty stomach, and a second mid-afternoon. I feel more energetic, clearer-headed and my moods seem a little lighter. An excellent product that I've taken for several years. It was recommended to me by my herbalist at the time and I have recommended it to others. My herbalist told me to make sure I take the ADVANCED version. I was suffering fatigue due to Hashimotos which is hypothyroidism. I don't take any thyroid medication.
I have tried both the bioactive B-complex from Swanson and the regular one from Country Life. I opted for the upgraded formula with added PQQ and NADH to enhance energy levels and focus during study sessions. Typically, I begin my day by taking one pill of the B-complex on an empty stomach in the morning before breakfast. It has been effective for me so far. For those concerned about the form of folate used, it indeed contains the active form of Quatrefolic, as indicated on the bottle.
Initially I have seen great improvement especially in energy but later I reduced its frequency and I started taking it on alternate days. I don't know if I should I use it regularly or skip manners and why I did so because I read some where that regular servings of it masks the real issue and gives a fake boost.
