Mushrooms™, Organic Chaga Extract, 1 fl oz (30 ml)

I feel the need to review this product (which I have been using for over two years) after reading the other negative reviews. Fungi Perfecti's chaga is neither "fake" nor "diluted": it is made with the mycelium, not the indigestible fruiting body (the actual mushroom you see). They cultivate it sustainably on their farm - it's not wild harvested. Cultivated Chaga will have B-glucans, arabinoxylanes, glycoproteins, ergosterols & triterpenes that support immune health. Recently, non-betulin compounds from the mycelium are now known to be responsible for its powerful anti-oxidant, immune enhancing and anti-viral properties. So = the mycelium confers a more well-rounded constituent profile, and it's a more ethical way to produce Chaga as a supplement than taxing wild stands. Paul Stamets is a scientist first, not a "business" man - his goal is to share what he knows about mushrooms, not just to sell you something! He is one of the foremost mycologists of our time, and is on the cutting edge of much of the research into medicinal and ecological uses of fungi. All in all, I trust every product he produces to help me get healthier, not harm the planet in the process, or deplete the natural sources of wild mushrooms. I take most of what iherb sells of his - the chaga extract I put in my coffee or tea, especially in the summer for UV protection, but all year for skin issues which I have periodically. Look him up on TedMed or TedTalks to learn about him - very interesting. :)

I first heard about Chaga when I was researching how to shrink tumors. David Wolfe discussed it on one of his video excerpts. The reason I chose this form is because it was laboratory grown by Paul Stamets. I think of him as a Fungi Guru. It is the processing that separates it from the rest.

It is really amazing, I had itching and sensitivity in the scalp and I had an ear infection, I’ve been using it for a while and so far it’s helped.

I bought this because chaga is said to have so many health benefits (anti-viral, anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory, etc.). I love that this is dual extracted (which is said to help us get more benefits out of the mushroom). I tend to have bad reactions (bloating, pain, the runs) to powdered forms of mushroom, but this liquid version give me no bad effect at all. I am also very grateful that this product is organic. Thank you!

great quality as always from host defense, great dropper as lid. nothing negative to say. tastes weird by it self but that was expected. drop it in some apple juice if you cant chug it

i take mushroom supplements daily, about half a dozen, in capsules, liquid extracts, liposomal because there are so many benefits in immunities and energy and relaxation and longevity - this one as a singular supplement is new for me & i like it very much.

Host Defense makes high quality mushroom supplements that I trust. I researched a lot before purchasing and love the back story of Paul Stamets, the founder. They are my go to for chaga, turkey tail and reishi supplements.

Thank you very much for this product, it suited me, I like the packaging, comfortable and stylish, I will order more of these products, and recommend them to all my friends and relatives! good!!
