Nutrex Hawaii makes one of the best astaxanthin. The quality is superb. I take one cap (4 mg) a day during autumn/winter time. In spring/summer, I increase it to 6-12 mg. Please note, astaxanthin is a carotenoid and can potentially make your skin color go yellowish.
I like this vegan (gelatin-free) version as an antioxidant for eye-health and other benefits. I've been taking this for years along with other antioxidants. I'm almost 80, but the eye doctor recently told me that I've still got a long way to go before cataract surgery.
I have been buying this BioAstin several times until I have to switch to try other brands cause the price has been escalating higher. Personally I felt this bioastin is a great quality astaxanthin.
