I have been using this ointment whenever cold sores come up. This is a high quality ointment. I store it in the refrigerator. The size of the tube is enough to last you almost a year. It has a natural scent. The composition is of clean ingredients. Apart from icing the lip area, taking a lysine 500 mg supplement, this ointment works great. Found this online for remedy for herpes and immune failure. The quality is perfect, 2-3 times daily for outbreaks control. The benefit is significant in shortening the outbreaks by days if used continuously. It has a slight herbal scent. If not kept in cool place it will melt into oily form, still totally usable. The size of this one is perfect to carry on daily basis.

The texture is oily and thick and unpleasant in the mouth tbh. The menthol added doesn’t not really help quell mouth ulcer pain. I’m already taking lysine internally, and am just not sure it this paste actually does anything. The scent is strange too. It’s kinda expensive for the small size.
This is one of those products that I have in the house all the time because you never know when cold sores will pop-up. It works great and is easy to apply. I highly recommend this.
