This pasta may be boring by itself; however, when combined with meat and/or olive oil, it has a similar texture and flavor to white flour pasta. I sauteed vegan meat and added olive oil. I did not detect much of a distinction compared to how I previously made the same dish with gluten pasta.
I tried the Organic Quinoa Macaroni from NOW Foods and was really impressed. It cooked up nicely — firm but not mushy — and held its shape well. The flavor was mild and pleasant, making it easy to pair with different sauces. It’s great if you’re looking for a gluten-free alternative without sacrificing taste or texture.
I like that it is easy to cook as it turns soft in just 10 mins of cooking. Fuss free. I like that it is made of Quinoa. Size: The size is rather small. Very suitable for babies or young children. Not so much for adults. Taste: no weird taste at all.
