Slippery Elm, 90 Vegetarian Capsules (350 mg per Capsule)

Recently, I was under a great deal of stress and was having constant pain in my upper abdomen. I am not sure what it was, but it felt like it might be pain from gastritis, ulcers, and/or hiatal hernia. The pain started a few months after I began taking Potassium Gluconate, which I later learned can cause gastritis. I started taking this slippery elm supplement along with mastic gum, licorice (DGL), Doctor's Best PepZinGI, and acidophilus. It significantly soothed the pain I was having. I am no longer having those pains, so whatever it was must have healed. Whenever it feels like my food may have been too acidic and I start to feel a mild ache or burning pain, this is the first supplement I take. I have also taken it during a gallbladder attack and it seems to help the stone pass faster. I recommend this for anyone with digestive or gastrointestinal issues.

Unfortunately, the quality of this Slippery Elm is disappointing. When mixed with water, it fails to form the typical mucilage texture expected from normal slippery elm powder. The taste is also unusual compared to other brands. Additionally, it caused allergic reactions, raising concerns about possible contaminants such as lead or pesticide residues. While the glass packaging is a nice touch, the content inside is what truly matters, and in this case, it falls short.

I make a cold brew tea with this tea, sometimes a hot tea w/ honey. I use a tablespoon and soak in a jar of water in the refrigerator over night, then use a tea strainer to pour and filter out the fibers before drinking. It has helped my diverticulitis and soothe those digestive symptoms. It had become a household staple. Great product!

Take it to protect my sensitive stomach. Less stomach pain. The dosage is ok, neutral taste.
