I bought the regular slicker brush with the coated tips and the cats don't mind it, but this one doesn't have coated tips and they really hate it and run away from it. What I do is I use the regular brush on them and then I brush it with this one and self clean it. Pretty silly but I do already own it so...
My cat has medium hair but constantly builds up painful large knots on her back. This brush works great at pulling out the undercoat but its very gentle. She enjoys being brushed with this and her coat is shiny and smooth. I'm so glad I found it!
It is the most comfortable brush I have ever used! My cats love it too and it does help get rid of so much hair and I don't get hurt trying to clean it :)
Good quality brush. Take note this is better for long haired cat. I tried on my short haired siamese and they do not like it. My Persian loved it.
dog hates it as it is painful for him...the size is small defi ately for small breed or a cat. it has no scent

I bought this brush for my cat, and it works great! exactly how you would expect it to work. removet the excess hair from him, and doesn't scratch his skin. he really likes it. also, the spring on the back helps to remove the hair from the brush! its really effective, and the price is great! This has been a fantastic brush for my sixteen year old cat who has always been a bit suspicious of brushes. She loves her three gimes a week grooming and purrs the whole time. She had a problem with furballs and using this brush has virtually eliminated that problem. Very easy brush to clean. A good purchase all round.
