True Herbs, Valerian, 470 mg, 100 VegCaps

I have Valerian capsules in my home aid kit on a regular basis, but I use it only occasionally when I need to rest well, but I can't relax due to a lot of energy or some stress. it smells funky on its own, but only the bitterness is left when it's in your mouth (similar to TCM bitterness). so i have to keep this bottle in a well-ventilated place because it would stink my medicine cabinet up xD i've only used it for a few days, but i feel a little more well-rested than i usually do. i use this only on weekdays because i don't need it over the weekends.

I am taking Valerian in conjunction with GABA, melatonin, CBN oil, and Ambien (5mg). The impact of my insomnia is that my brain literally will not shut down for sleep. I am switching to Valerian in liquid form to see if that helps with my insomnia. Right now, I am taking 1-3 capsules a day with a very light meal, such as a banana and digestive enzymes to experiment with absorption in my blood stream. As for the age of the product, Solaray is great about listing the expiration date on the packaging.

I've used other brands of valerian capsules, some worked, others didn't. This one does work! 2 capsules and I'm sleepy within 45 minutes and it helps keep me to sleep. No groggy after effects at all.

For me valerian does not do anything, but I think is my genetics, I know people that benefit tremendously from this root, but it does not help me at all.
