After being given in 2014 in the ashram of Ayurveda in South India, I started drinking the sacred basil of Tulsi. I went to Ashram because I needed deep experience to shake off the depression and anxiety that dominated my life. That experience changed my life, and one of the things I brought home was this sacred herb. I bought these cheaply in India and was happy to know that the brand is also available in the US. I'm sure Organic India Tulsi has helped me reorganize my mind from the inside out over time. I always lost my heart and felt like I was on the verge of living on the edge. This product says it helped me reconnect to solid ground. It is neither a sedative nor an anxiolytic. I think it's a delicate adjustment. It helps me adapt to the situation and mood, helps smooth the edges, and helps me feel human. It doesn't change who you are. It's not a personality enhancer, it only helps you live your life for who you are. You may cry if you think about it. Of course, I can only recommend it.

Wow, what a difference this makes for calming the nerves. I would recommend it for anyone with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, as long as they can handle the dried herbs. May be worth a try even if you can’t because it is so calming. I would find them hard to swallow with only water. But taking them with a mouthful of food makes it easy. I take them with the evening meal and they don’t get stuck on the way down. Now, I don’t take them every day. Just as needed.

I have been using holy basil for 2 years and have had great luck with the touted benefits. It has aided in my hormonal balance, weight loss and sleep. I have not had an issue with tasting the product. The Organic India prodcut always have quality ingredients and appropriate dosage. I take 1 a day in the morning every day.

I wouldn't take this if not organic, because the subtle effects are not worth the pesticides. This is pricy for what it is. The caps are not too big. I hope this helps.
