Essential Oils, Juniper Berry, 1 fl oz (30 ml)

I discovered Now Food's Essential Oils around 15 years ago. The reason I like them is because of the quality: purity as well as their attention to stability before and after the oil is in my care. (The oil is contained in a dark brown, glass bottle in order to minimize breakdown & molecular exchange.) Many other brands dilute the potency of the essential oil before bottling it for resale. But doing so makes such therapeutic oils not conform to the definition "essential oil". I much prefer working with the essential oils and using my own "carrier" substances for making appropriate dilutions for each purpose. Each ounce of essential oil will last for years & years given that normal use is just a drop mixed into an emollient of your choosing. Although I use many essential oils, Juniper Berry is one of my favorites! It smells wonderful & really works for me as several different therapies.

I quit alcohol but love the taste of gin, so decided to buy this as a gin-substitute (as juniper berry is what gives gin its main flavour). This is 100% juniper oil with no additives, so I thought it would be safe to consume in low amounts. About 2 drops in a glass with tonic water and lemon/lime is enough to make a great alcohol-free G&T.

I'm buying this for over 15 years now. I mix 5 drop of Cypress essentiel oil with 5 drops of Juniper essentiel oil in a bit of body lotion and use it as an anti-orange peel look on my thighs. And it just works.

The aroma is rather transportive - one is immediately whisked away to the Scottish Highlands, surrounded by rugged terrain and bracing air. It's quite evocative of family holidays spent at the ancestral estate, traipsing through juniper-dotted hills. The oil possesses a crisp, woody fragrance with subtle sweet undertones. It's not overpowering, but it certainly makes its presence known. One appreciates its versatility -- it blends splendidly with other oils for a bespoke scent.

This is a good essential oil to help with gout pain. I simply rub it on my skin wherever I have pain and there is relief.

this is great juniper oil. I was using this for fluid retention, I would lix it with castor oil in my tummy wraps. worked great

I love the scent of Juniper Berry essential oil as it makes me feel soothed and calmed. I use it in the diffuser as part of a blend or sometimes alone by itself, as the natural somewhat woodsy but sweet aroma is really lovely. It is rather pricy compared to other essential oils though so this is very precious to me.

I have used this oil in combination with other complementary oils to create a nice home scent. I have also used it sparingly in combination with other oils as a nice masculine romantic fragrance.

It's a good product, nice juniper aroma. I think some other brands have a stronger smell, but a much higher price. But that seems to be the case with NOW essential oils: great price but not so strong. But this is more than fine for a diffuser. I like it either mixed with pine oil for a northern Arizona vibe, or mixed with lime oil for a gin and tonic effect.

My wife uses the oil in a number of different ways: - for muscle pains (adding it to other oils such as mint)' - for relaxing, she adds it to massage oil, - for the skin, - in the air. She always dilutes it and uses it externally only. It arrived with the bottle well-protected. Good quality.
