It is believed that bugleweed contains simple plant acids that are thyrosuppressive. The British Herbal Pharmacopeia lists nervous tachycardia and Graves’ disease with cardiac involvement among the indications for bugleweed. It also refers to bugleweed’s actions as those of a sedative, a peripheral vasoconstrictor, and cardioactive diuretic. A general consensus about such uses of bugleweed continues to this day. Herbalist David Hoffmann, for example, describes it as a specific for an overactive thyroid especially when the condition is marked by shortness of breath, palpitations, and shaking.

I love bugleweed. For me, it is nice and calming and helps me sleep and if I wake up I can easily drift off again.

The quality is totally fine, and I definitely feel it delivers to my thyroid (morbus graves after a severe viral infection). But the alcohol is just too much for me. I can't drink a lot of alcohol due to detox metabolism problems. It tastes a little bit bitter, but still pleasant. I'd buy again if there be a product for bugleweed with glycerin base. Or less alcohol content.

I have been taking Christopher's bugleweed capsule to manage symptoms of overactive thyroid and wanted to try out the liquid form. Tastes OK and has same benefits except this ingredient is pure bugleweed extract.

Received it after 5days of placing the order. Then packaging and quality of the product is very good.My husband mixes it with his drinks and helps him feel calm. He was diagnose with graves disease and we found this supplement to help improve his condition.

Helped with heart palpitations and overall felt great while taking it . Taste isn’t the best but if you add it to juice it will be fine. Just finished my first bottle, excited to try the next one.

I usually forget to order until I'm almost out of Bugleweed liquid and you guys save me everytime by sending my bottle the next day after ordering it! It comes in a glass bottle that's in peanuts, bubble-wrapped AND paper toweled in a small box so well that it can't break during it's mailing! I do wish you'd carry Standard Process Bugleweed liquid but Herb Pharm is the next best! Thank you for being so prompt & keeping your prices low! Love you guys!!!

I have been ordering this product for sometime now and I am happy with it, I did notice this batch of 3 that I ordered seemed watered down compared to others I have received, I will be ordering again so I will be able to compare batches. Other than that I like the product...

This is good. I used it for a few months last year but this year I switched to Thyroid Calming one and is effective for graves disease thank God!
