I usually put it in the drum with my white shirts and add laundry detergent too - never had any problems. It lasts for a long time.

Use in combination with Nellie’s washing powder it really does brighten fhe whites and makes them cleaner. It’s quite expensive but if you can afford the splurge then it’s worth it. The pretty packaging helps.
