Emerald (3/4 ct. t.w.) & Diamond (1/10 ct. t.w.) 18" Pendant Necklace in Sterling Silver

First of all, the design of the necklace is beautiful. However, the melee diamonds are very little and low quality with little sparkle unless exposed directly to artificial light. The Emerald is dull (very low quality). The internal cracks, fissures, or "scratches" seen inside a natural emerald are collectively known as Jardin (French for "garden"). These inclusions are expected in emeralds, as they are type III gemstones. Because Jardin is often dense, many emeralds are treated with oil or resin to hide these internal fissures. In the necklace I purchased, these scratches are noticeable with the naked eye with "natural" light. I would only recommend this product if (1) it is intended to be worn as an everyday staple and not as a sophisticated piece of jewelry, (2) it is not purchased at a full retail price.

I really loved the design of this emerald necklace, but my experience was extremely disappointing. The first necklace arrived missing a diamond stone and without the verification tag, which was important to me because other reviews mentioned receiving lab stones instead of genuine ones. Also the color seemed… fake? Again wanted the verification. I exchanged it, but the replacement was completely different — the stone color didn’t match the old necklace, the tag was cut, and there was visible discoloration and damage on the stone. It made me question the necklace and Macys as a whole. Plus they couldn’t do an even exchange and it’s caused so much more drama in my life. I ended up returning it even though I truly loved the style. Cutting the tag makes no sense when customers rely on it for gemstone verification. Quality control really needs improvement.

I've wanted an emerald necklace forever, but the price was always a roadblock. When I saw this on the Macy's site, I couldn't believe it was real....either the emerald or the diamonds had to be fake or terrible quality. I read the reviews and Macy's responses to people questioning the authenticity of the piece. Because Macy's was able to authenticate the stone, my husband decided to get it for me. When it arrived, I was thrilled with the appearance and happy to read the tag verifying its legitimacy. My husband is a star...he bought me the necklace I always wanted and got a terrific price as well! If this is something you want, go for it. You won't be sorry!

The ticket on the necklace still states it is lab created. The gem is low quality. It is a nice design but the emerald is disappointing. My mother loves it anyhow.

This pendant is smaller than the description which states approx. 1" drop, but in reality is about a half an inch drop from the top of the bail to the bottom of the pendant. Even though it is smaller than expected, the pendant is beautiful, and you can tell it is genuine stones. The tag on mine states genuine stones as well. The emerald has some slight inclusions, which is to be expected from a genuine emerald. The sparkling white stones surrounding it add to the over all classic beauty of this piece. This looks like a much more expensive pendant than what I paid with the great sale price. I am very happy with my purchase!

I thought it was a great deal for the price until it came in the mail and the tag said lab created, although it is beautiful it was not marked lab created online and that was a bit disappointing. for thoose who don't mind lab created, it is beautiful

I bought this for my wife as a surprise gift and she loves it! its delicate but the stones are incredibly pretty to her and would recommend as a solo gift!
