OXO Smooth-Edge Can Opener

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the second Good Grips can opener I have purchased. The first was misplaced after two years of ownership but always worked well. My current one works phenomenally and is preferred to the sharp edge style. With kids in the house the smooth edge opener was intuitive and a much safer option while also performing reliably. I don’t have to dig into the can for the lid or try to leave a small tab to open it up. This is by far one of my biggest must-have tools in the kitchen

My original Clean Cut can opener comes with two handles that opens and closes to clamp onto the can. That design is so very good. The new one has No clamping on and it makes the can run all over the place. This is why it gets only Three stars. The turn-key of my old one has stripped a little bit and does not always advance the can along its way. Hence the reason for a new one. This one is a ‘stripped’ down design and not user friendly. Pun intended.

The design is the only good thing. It doesn’t fully open with a full cut around. You have to constantly adjust and cut little missed parts. It takes 2 minutes to find a good grip for it to start cutting. Worst can opener ever.

Extremely user-friendly device that executes its purpose very well. I used to struggle with opening cans but this device made it so much easier.

This can opener was a little confusing at first but once I understood how to use it, I instantly loved it! It cuts the whole top of the can so you are only left with smooth edges & no sharp lid. It is very sturdy

Look very helpful and you never get cut by the edges of a can again it good around kids I would buy one of this for my house if I had children in the kitchen
