My husband went to a little pet store near where we live to get a new carrier after our older cat passed recently. There were too many sad memories attached to the old carrier, taking him to and from the vet at the end, so we wanted a new one for our other cat. My husband came home with a tiny carrier that would never fit our very round (we'll say fluffy) remaining cat. I asked him to take it back, and looked online. I ordered this carrier and not only is it bigger and better than the other one, it cost less, too. It's solid construction, looks great, has a soft floor that should be good in warm or cool weather, and includes any feature you may want (pockets, multiple zippered doors, mesh for good air flow).
