Snow Joe Shovelution Snow Shovel Strain Reducing with Assisted Handle, SJ-SHLV01

The plastic scoop part broke in less than one season.

I’ve had my shovel for a couple of years and unfortunately, today the additional handle that is flexible broke off where it connects to the pole. Wondering if I can order this handle with the metal strap?

I've seen young kids struggling with their bent-handle shovels while I'm shoveling away with my "Strain-Reducing" Snow-Joe at 64 years old. Unfortunately, the shovel is now 4 years old. The paint on the spring-steel element for the lift handle has chipped off in multiple places, and the steel is rusting. And today, the steel edge popped off the shovel blade. It's still somewhat usable, but I doubt I'll get another season out of it. Meanwhile, the ancient wooden-handled / aluminum-bladed shovels that I inherited with my father's house are still going strong. They're just not the best for my ancient back!

Ok, so this is a LIFE-SAVER !!!!! For anyone that has some age, this is wonderful. It is an absolutely back saver. My arms and shoulders were sore but my back was fine .... I'll take that everyday, all day! First of all, this is a well made shovel. It's solid and has a good blade. It lifts a lot more than it probably should. And then you add the "extra" handle and it's a game changer. We put it to use during this 2026 East Coast Storm and it really made a noticeable difference. I like this so much, I clean it and store it indoors because I want to make sure it last until next season. As far as 'gadgets' go, this is an absolutely KEEPER!!! Many thanks.

Bought this last year. BEST shovel i have ever owned!...My wife thought it was a novelty until our latest storm and found it effortless to use!...have recommended it to all our friends!....cannot rave enough about this product!

Absolute trash excuse for a shovel. Come to the first snow storm with a hint of ice and it completely shatters. The plastic is flimsy and the metal strip at the bottom is completely for show. Don’t waste your time or money on this piece of junk.

I purchased two of the shovels last snow season and absolutely loved the ergonomics and back saving design. But very disappointed at the quality and longevity of the edge guard and paddle as it fails after minimal use. As an engineer I think reinforcing the paddle and edge guard would go a long way to a winner product.

great assist handle, works well to prevent back issues. issue i have is that "metal" blade falls off and breaks now on both the two shovels ive had, slowly tearing away at the weak plastic now

Absolutely the best shovel known to man's back. I have the 18" blue (before there were other choices) for a few years now and it is absolutely a back saver.

I purchased this shovel a couple of years ago. It would have been a 5 star for ease of use and ending back strain but the metal edge fell off and the naked plastic edge is now vulnerable to damage. I can only use it for soft light snow
