Totem is an award-winning design that combines all your waste in one compact unit. It features two compartments arranged vertically, which saves space and makes them very easy to fill and empty. Each compartment has a removable bucket that can be fitted with a single standard liner for general waste or two smaller bags, using the integrated bag hooks, for separating different types of waste. Breather vents in the bucket sides make removing a full liner easier. Totem also features a ventilated odor filter in the main lid that helps reduce moisture and odor build up from waste. The design comes with a 3-liter (0.8 US Gallon) removable food waste caddy that can be stored in either compartment, or on the worktop. Stylish, practical and durable, Totem is available in two sizes – Totem Max (60 liters/15.8 US Gallons) and Totem Compact (40 liters/10.5 US Gallons). Custom-fit liners for the main compartments and compostable liners for the food waste caddy are available separately, as are replaceable odor filters.

Totem Max is ideal
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My new Totem Max is great. It fits perfectly into my kitchen and is big enough to store all the recycling, paper and waste in a compact space. Easy to empty and keep clean.

Great Product
This was recommended by a friend and didn’t disappoint. The recycling element works very well for us and keeps worktops clear of stuff waiting to be taken out to recycling bins. Took advantage of the sale price with extra bin bags.

Really useful recycling bin
This bin means no more recycling cluttering up my kitchen and freeing up worktop space with its integrated food waste bin. Only negative is I would have preferred that it had handles on the sides to help with moving it when you want to clean underneath.

Easy to use and empty. The wheels on the bottom are such a good idea. More expensive than ordinary bins but so worth it.

Does the job, but not as good as older version.
Bought this to replace original 48ltr Joseph Joseph totem bin after the lid button broke. We’d had that bin for around 8 years! Tried to get a replacement lid but no one stocks it anymore. Have to say this one is not as good. Feels very flimsy and unstable compared to the last one. Despite this being 60ltr there is no more room for waste than before. It seems the extra space is in the recycling part. The lid is also much less secure than the last one. If there’s even the slightest bit of excess rubbish in the bin it keeps popping open, which is somewhat irritating.

Perfect size and colour
Love this bin which replaces 2 separate bins in my kitchen. The colour and size of the bin is perfect for my colour scheme. I would definitely recommend this bin.

Totem Max 60L bin
Well made and really easy to use (as in no fiddly catches, etc). So much better than having two separate bins. Never thought having a new bin would be so transformational.
