This coffee pot is larger than I expected. There are a lot of moving parts. I will say the coffee is consistent and very good. The part I had to get used to is measuring water in the carafe. It’s stainless steel and one cannot see how much you’ve filled it to. The side of the unit has the measuring guide. Just have to make two trips to the sink if you have too much or too little water in the carafe.

Do Not buy this machine. The grinder has to cleaned out every time you use it. It wastes coffee each time. I’ve had this or 12 cup grind and brew machines for years but I am not buying another one. This last one is worse than any other one I’ve had. It has me so fed up I’m looking at other coffee machines even though the Cuisinart is brand new. I bought it on sale and didn’t open it until after the previous one stopped working otherwise I would return it. Cuisinart wouldn’t let me return it or replace it with a better model. I will no longer be buying anything made by Cuisinart.

I love Cuisinart appliances, however this particular coffee maker/grinder had a small part break off during the first week of use. The appliance still works, but leaks. Email was sent for replacement and will let me know when available.
Having gone through two much more expensive grinder/percolators from another manufacturer, I was pleasantly surprised that this Cuisinart Grind and Brew Coffee Maker outperformed both. What I like about my new machine is that all the parts are accessible for simple removal and washing. This wasn't true of my previous models, which each clogged up and stopped working. My only complaint is that the Cuisinart grinder is a bit loud. As long as I wake up without a hangover, I can simply go into another room during grinding. It only took a few brews to get the perfect ratio of mixed beans (pure Hawaiian Kona and Trader Joe's Low Acid) to water. The transparent water level is helpful, too. I'm not sure if the bean hopper is big enough to actually serve 10 cups, but my daily routine typically tops out at 5-6 cups. Overall,. I'm one happy customer.
This is our 3rd version of this product (the last one was purchased in 2016) and we love it! We really like the improvements - the hinged filter basket, the lighted clock dial and the added foot pads. The machine is quiet, fast and easy to use. Our machine is still so new that we have not yet used the grinder but I am confident it will work just as expected, if not better.
Grinding and brewing requires a thorough cleaning of grinder bowl and the clear lid after each use. The coffee filter basket compartment and lid need to cleaned when brewing a full pot as well.
This is the 4th one I’ve had in around 15 years. Best alarm clock ever. Wake up to fresh ground coffee. They don’t last forever but no coffee maker does. I’ve noticed subtle improvements over the years. My new one seems to make hotter coffee.
Easy to clean, at first I would use the measuring scoop, but now I know how many beans to just more in.
