Baretraps Women's Deserae Slide Sandals

Very comfy; nice cushion. Easy to wash by hand.

I loved the Baretraps Aloha sandal but they must have discontinued it because I can’t find it anywhere. I would have worn that sandal into an apocalypse, it had great arch support, my ankles didn’t twist - had great traction and stability and was so darn comfortable I wore them every day around my house. Since that one went the way of the dido bird, this is my runner up. Well maybe not runner up, but close. The support could be better and shoe to shoe sometimes the toe bothers me. My first two pair were great, my third pair same shoe killed my big toe in the way of blisters and this pair is more comfortable. I suspect they are changing the materials on these. They have decent traction and not very slippery which is important to me when I wear these outside. I like these but they aren’t my favorite. They will fail eventually if you keep getting them wet. I garden a lot and have to hose them off periodically which shortens the life.

In the past, I have purchased and worn several of Baretrap Deserea sandals. However, the manufacturer is now replacing the material used in the straps, especially the one covering the toe, the pair I purchased has a stiff and scratchy white material band which makes it impossible to wear without wearing a band aide to protect the skin around the big toe. It's painful. Check these carefully if you buy them, I didn't and was way beyond the return date by the time summer came and I started using them. I would have returned them for sure!! Why do manufacturers start to cut corners when they have a good product and then ruin it? Very disappointed.

comfortable right out of the box

I got these shoes just before a trip to Costa Rica. From day one, these fit comfortably (although they seemed they would be a a tad small on the length at first). I wore these exclusively on hikes, in the jungle, at the beach and through the airport, and they were great. And they look cute, too!

If you have a bunion or not, the big toe strap and gentle padded straps will be the most comfortable sandals you will ever wear!!!! The support is amazing!!

I have long, narrow feet. This sandal fits great due to the strap. I can wear these all day, walking miles. True to size. ❤️

I had to stretch the weave around the big toe strap. It was too snug for comfort. Once that was done, the sandals fit perfectly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second pair of this particular shoe. This is, by far, the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever owned! I even walk on the treadmill in these because they are more comfortable than my running or walking shoes. I wouldn't care if they weren't cute, but they are, which is just icing on the cake!
