I'm surprised Macy's sells these dishes. And I am baffled why anyone would give this product 5 stars. After ONE use, the plates are scratched from using a fork and knife. Unfortunately for me, I opened and used them after the return period. Very disappointed in Macy's and these dishes. Thank goodness I purchased them on sale. I do not recommend them.
Dinner plates weight over 2 lbs. Too heavy for Senior citizens
These dishes were excellent quality for a very affordable price. Unfortunately the shade of gray was too light, so didn't work out. The photo shows a deeper shade of taupe/gray than the actual dishes.

Glaze scuffs easily. Nice weight and looks great... initially. 1 month of normal daily use with a household of two adults, and the glaze is scuffing up considerably from the silverware. Very disappointed.
While these dishes are heavy, they became our favorites anyway. The matte color and perfect sizes meant they were always in the dishwasher. So we bought another set.
They are heavy, they chip very easily and the up turned lip makes them difficult for the dishwasher to clean them.

Recently I moved and downsized a collection for every season of china. So I searched for something that would work for every season since I am getting older, when I came accross the Gibson Stoneware and decided on the white so I could dress it up or down with linens, centerpieces, etc and it works beautifully! I love this stoneware! It's so strong and easy to clean. Do yourself a favor and invest in Gibson Stoneware. I also bought a platter and serving bowl in the red color for my Christmas table!
