I have been wearing and collecting hats since 1964. I saw a hat in an ad that resembled this one. Black fedora, brim not too narrow or wide, firm not floppy, with an embroidered golden braid. I searched the internet and found one in the UK, but with shipping problems I didn't want to take a chance. I checked Macy's for something similar, and there it was! This hat is not heavy, it has inner strings you can pull to make tighter. I'm already XS in men's hats and Gigi Pip styles. If you are too, this one will fit no problem. I would say that the wool is lighter than Pip, and they cost $100 more. But this is so worth it, and better quality than F21 hats.
