No scissors needed 😂. They have some weight to them! They were made well. The small paring knife is the perfect size. The handle curves in your hand. They'll fit in a knife block. Or hang on a magnetic knife holder. They look easy to clean. The blade is flat not serrated so you'll be able to sharpen.

We have quality Henkels steak knives (for over 30 years) that we use for steak. I was looking for serrated steak knives to replace old worn ones that we use every day for chicken, pork, slicing tomatoes and sandwiches, etc. However, these knives are too clunky and large. I'll be returning them. I wish more specific product info was available on Macy's website. P.S. No matter the washing directions, we always wash sharp knives by hand.
