Very uncomfortable - shoes are too heavy and hard
these sandals are not what I expected. They are heavy and quite uncomfortable. I am trying to return them. Do not buy!

Most comfortable sandals
Dr. Scholl's wooden sandals, with leather front are the most comfortable sandals I've ever had. I've been buying them for around 40 years. The buttery soft wood feels wonderful on your feet.

Back to A Classic!
These sandals replaced a “generic” version (same color, same style) I’ve worn for 30 summers. Those replaced a pair of real Dr. Scholls that lasted 20+ summers. So, this is only my 3rd pair since the late 1970’s! The color is (navy) is exactly what I wanted. The style also, exactly right. The fit is OK. I’m using moleskin (on the top of the inside of the straps) to ease the “break-in” period. I expect these will be my last pair of Dr. Scholl’s sandals, as I will be > 100 yrs. by the time (or if…) they wear out.

As good as I remembered, love wood soles!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So glad I was able to get the wood sole. The sale price made it workable. Hard to find good arch support in most shoes these days. Wish I had gotten them sooner.

not like the original
these are not the same exercise sandals that I purchased in the 70's. The original ones had a bump under the toes that was very comfortable plus the regular arch support. I really miss the old ones!!!

wood shoes are great
I love the firm wooden soles. They are so good for one's posture, my back doesn't hurt with the support.

Buckles Are Very Poor Quality
The buckles don’t really snap across the top and keep slipping out of place. That’s a basic design flaw for a very expensive flip flop. Not at all like the original sandals, which were sturdy and reliable.

Very comfortable
Every summer as a child my Parents would by me and my sisters a pair of these! I would get the navy blue or the combination red white blue!! These are the same style!! Just a little heavier!! However the perfect spring/summer shoe

Very uncomfortable, caused rips on tops of feet
I recently received my Original Dr. Scholl’s sandal and I am sorry to say I am very disappointed in the product. The shoes are heavy, the toe grip and arch support are basically non-existent and the tops of my feet have been ripped open from the toe band that goes across the top of the foot. I have only worn them once and sadly will not be wearing them again. I plan to reach out to customer support to ask for a refund.
