Pro's: large bowl size, glass material, easy to use, simple to clean after usage, glass bowl is useful as a salad serving bowl, remarkable must have sales price that was unavoidable.
I replaced my old plastic OXO salad spinner with this glass version and am overall happy with it. I like that the bowl is glass and the top clear - it should be easier to keep clean. The one miss for me is not having a silicone ring around the bottom of the bowl to keep it secure on countertops.
This seemed like such a great idea to have a pretty glass bowl that could go on the table. However at the base is a very thin glass piece that is not attached to the bowl and is critical to the function. In order to wash the bowl you have to remove it and after using it only a few times it has slipped out (when a guest was helping with dishes) and shattered. Since it is thin and clear it is easy to overlook and break. Just bad product design. This piece should be a different color or plastic or just part of the bowl.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the glass spinner. I have used oxo salad spinners for years and I think this is a nice upgrade. It reduces our plastic exposure and the glass bowl looks much nicer to serve salads. It took me a while to make this purchase, because I liked the plastic spinner. The only downside is this one is a bit heavier and slippery when washing. I don’t put in the dishwasher because it would take so much room and easy to hand wash. I would recommend to anyone on the fence.
