Betsy & Adam Petite Lace-Top Off-The-Shoulder Gown

It’s an absolutely gorgeous dress but way too long. I was so sad to return it. I am 5’2” and 40 lbs. I purchased 12 petite. The hem swirled at my feet and there was no time to hem it.

Beautiful dress for my daughter’s quinceanera and I also wore it to a wedding.

As others have mentioned, it's difficult to appreciate this dress from online photos. I found it in-store but they didn't have my size, so I ordered my size online. As others have noted, it runs small. I fit into a 2 in other Betsy & Adam dresses but had to size up to a 4, which just fits. Of note, I'm on the larger size on top and this dress comfortably accommodates the girls. It's actually in three different fabrics, the lacy top, a slightly fitted striped black on black fabric in the middle, and layered more gauzy, flowing, and sheer fabric on the bottom. It's long for a petite, so even with heels I will need to have it hemmed.

This dress is pretty but hip opening is small. I’m 5’2” and 115 lbs. I was still able to get it past my hips with some finagling. The material at the top is quite a bit of fabric and looked loos even thought the fabric over the chest area fit nicely. So in my opinion it is almost like and oversized cowl nevk off the shoulder. I didn’t really like that part. I ordered a size 4. I wouldn’t have kept it because I don’t like the fit. However, I had an event the next day so I wore it. But I don’t think I’ll ever wear it again due to the odd fit of the top portion of the dress. I’m a 36C and the fitted part of the chest was perfect just an odd flap of material over it.

Beautiful dress, fits nicely. Agree with everyone else to size up. I am 5'2" and 130 lbs and ordered a size 12 and was snug. (Just an fyi) I sent the dress back only because it just wasn't my vibe.

Love the fit. I ordered a 6 Petite, fits perfect, 5’3”, 128 lbs. Might hem a bit so it is not floor length. I am 72 and feel pretty and not too youthful. Love this brand name, have bought other Betsy and Adam styles too. Always fit perfect in petite.

Petite 12 fit well; however, I'm 5’2, 153 lbs and still had to get a 3.5 heel to be able to walk in the dress. I received SO many compliments. Very comfortable as well. Danced all night long.

I was very happy with this dress. I wore it to a black tie optional wedding reception and was able to fit in with the fancy crowd without being uncomfortable. I'm only 5' 2" (110 lbs), so the 2P came down almost to the floor, even with heals. But, it worked.

This dress in a 6P was tailor-made for me! I am 5'1 and 135 lbs, a 36C. I cannot say how gorgeous, elegant, and comfortable this is. I will need a bit higher heel (I tried it on with 3-inch heels), or still have it taken up an inch. It is far more beautiful in person than the pictures show. The pleats make it very forgiving for my mom pouch, nothing a bit of a compression undie can't fix. This dress cannot be beat for the price, it presents far more expensive and luxurious.
