This is a beautiful addition to our table, but sadly function falls short compared to its feel and appearance. The holes are very small and only work with the finest grinds of ground pepper. Even with the finer grind, it takes a great deal of shaking to dispense the pepper.

The salt n pepper HUG shakers were the perfect wedding gift. The bride and groom loved them. I definitely recommend.
as usual, nambe's quality is very good, but this particular piece, like a few others, seems outdated. we registered for this on our wedding list because i was looking for a more formal salt & pepper set and didn't see anything else i liked, but once we received it, i wondered what i was thinking when i selected it. the design just seems like it's left over from a trendy 1990s dining room, at least to me.
