Cuisine::pro® Damashiro 6.5" Emperor Santoku

I haven't had it for long, but it does a great job. It's a large knife, but is not overly heavy for those of us with smaller hands. I wanted a knife suitable for bigger jobs and this one fits the bill.

Not only is the knife extremely nice to look at, but it also slices through my ingredients very smoothly. I find myself using less force when slicing meat, and it also cuts through hard veggies like carrots very easily. In the month I’ve been using this, I can also say it feels very durable and well made. I gave this to my family and it has now become a staple in my mom’s kitchen. I definitely recommend as a gift to anyone who loves cooking.

I work in a bakery AND restaurant and I’ve never gotten my own set of nice quality knives! I nearly leapt for joy when I snagged one of the Japanese knives! It is SO sharp, which was expected. The knife handle is actually more of a dark brown wood rather than black, which is what I was expecting based on the picture. However, I much prefer the dark wood. It’s lightweight yet sturdy. It doesn’t feel flimsy or cheap at all. It’s heavy duty and cuts beautifully. I’m obsessed. I don’t stop talking about this knife!
