Created by Hermès' perfumer Christine Nagel, Un Jardin à Cythère Eau de Toilette is a surprising garden that is neither green nor floral, but blond. It is the expression of an olfactory quest through Greece that leads to Kythira, an unspoiled island that has inspired many artists. A citrus and woody fragrance, Un Jardin à Cythère Eau de Toilette combines enveloping notes of grasses with the strength of olive wood and the tenderness of fresh pistachio. Designed by Fred Rawyler, the bottle is inspired by the lines of the horse-drawn carriage lanterns of yesteryear. The luminous graduated yellow glass echoes the sunny fragrance. On the box, artist Elias Kafouros sketches a colorful landscape of his homeland: golden grasses, green olive trees, fresh pink pistachios and, in the background, the blue of the sea.

Wintertime scent, but lacks staying power

Crisp, woody, wearable
To me, this is similar to Tom Ford’s Soleil Neige. The wear time is fantastic for an EDT, and the fragrance is infinitely wearable for formal or casual settings. I really enjoy how crisp it is, considering how much woody warmth it has. It reminds me of a sunlit morning after the snow. I’d call it unisex, leaning masculine. Hoping Bloomingdale’s will stock the refills soon, because it is refillable!

No irritation on the skin
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Now it's one of my favorite fragrances. Light non-obtrusive smell, aroma of spring and summer, youth and freshness. No irritation on the skin, the plume of flowers lasts a long time. Convenient to take with you everywhere because if small size. I want to buy a bottle in full size.

Favorite daily perfume
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Splash application and a little goes a very long way here, folks! Wouldn't recommend putting into a purse because I don't trust the plugs on the splash bottles. This fragrance is everything summer should smell like! Fresh grasslands and flowers with a luxurious musk finish.
