I paid extra money for 2 day delivery(ETA Wed.) Received the package Friday with the shoes being damaged. Both shoes had some type of puncture and peeling around the mouth of the shoe,plus the bottom look worn. The wedding was Saturday and didn't have an alternative but to bite the bullet.
Love the shoes! But they're too large. I'll return them to a local store and order a smaller size online since the stores don't carry this style of penny loafers.

Always been a fan of Johnston & Murphy. Back to a loafer they used to make, no longer. The Hayes Penny Loafer is the best casual loafer I have worn. Always have two pairs on the closet.
Shoe is very comfortable, and kind of formal as well. This is my 4th pair of the red-black leather, and now this back only is very convenient.
I really like the leather shoe. I've only worn them once so far. I had my shoe guy put some nylon taps on the heels as I am particularly hard on the left one since I am prior service. Too many days marching I guess. The length of the shoe is great, I wear a 13. Fit is good and width is average. They might be a little loose in the heels, but, if so I will put a pair of heel pads in them. I put my first coat of polish on them. The leather really takes the polish well and it won't be long before they have a good spit shine(like glass) all over.
Terrible quality loafer. Most money I've spent on shoes and they did not last a year before completely falling apart.
ordered my regular size but was too big. Returned for size smaller and same issue.Not worth the purchase
I received a size 12 in this style loafer (because that's my foot size) and these shoes were way too big. I returned the 12's in exchange for 11.5 shoe size. These shoes were the same size as the 12"s and one shoe was wider than the other. I have purchased many pairs of Johnston and Murphy loafers and other shoes and I noticed these shoes were from a different country of origin. Big hassle—no resolution.
I have 3 pairs of J& M penny loafers that I have had for approximately 10 to 15 years now. They have all been resolved,have retained their shape and are still neat and sharp to wear. I also have a pair of lace up toe cap formal shoes in black that are over 20 years old and still beautiful and going strong. I live in South Africa.
