Bernardaud Dinnerware, Louvre Bread & Butter Plate

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the simplest most Elegant "China". We got the full set for our wedding and these were 2 replacement pieces. The Bernardaud is white, clean, simple, elegant. Couldn't love it more after 25 years of marriage. Looks wonderful on any table.

I have had Louvre for many years and use them for everyday, formal and anything in between. They are classic and offer any so many different individual and serving pieces, you can add to this collection forever! My favorite individual piece is the pasta bowl-you must have these bowls. They are so useful-even if you don't eat pasta. To the reviewer that has chipped dishes. These are very durable, but you must be careful about how you place these and all dishes in the dishwasher. That's most likely where the damage occurred.

These are exactly what I was looking for! Durable and beautiful. We use these everyday. I don't know the reviewer who gave these 1 heart is talking about (they must be really hard on dishes!) I have accidentally caught a dish on the granite countertop while taking it out of the dishwasher and nothing happened! Still perfect. I have a service for 12. All are still as beautiful as the day I got them 5 years ago.

We registered for a set of 12 for our wedding and they have become our daily dishes. After a years and a half of daily use and dishwasher they are absolutely perfect like the first day. No chips, cracks or anything! We absolutely love the leaves motif and will continue purchase other pieces in the year to come.

We spent a lot of money on these plates and they have been nothing but disappointing. They have all chipped around the edge from very light use.

We have a set of six dinner plates, cereal bowls and salad plates. We love how formal this can look if you want it to, but yet it's casual enough for every day. We place in the dishwasher.

I am thrilled to have picked this pattern. My favorite are the lunch plates. It is so much fun to mix and match. One can't go wrong with the Louvre.

This set is classic enough for every day but delicate and intricate enough to use for formal occasions too. At first I registered for the dinner plates for mixing and matching with fun chargers but I quickly expanded my registry to include the entire set. The patterns work for a French country feel, classic table top, day time, night time - as an art world person who is living in Paris the "Louvre" collection is just perfect.

You can't go wrong with Louvre! Bernardaud never goes on sale, never goes out of style. I set my table with my Waterford and sterling for special occasions, or my reidel and daily flatware when we have a few friends over for dinner, Louvre works for everything and I get 10x more use from it than i would a decorated china...was very happy I picked this for my wedding.
