Pouch on strap is bizarre

Absolutely love the purse itself, but the zipper pouch on the strap is literally on your back when you have the purse on....how is that handy. Would be great if I could remove it or get it on the front part of the purse so I can actually reach it. Now I'll be returning it because that is just too odd.
