Maxi-Cosi Tayla Max Modular Stroller

I bought this stroller about a month ago. My baby is 4 months old, I did a lot of research on strollers that could turn into bassinets without needing an attachment. Overall I call it my Mercedes of how luxurious it is! The color doesn’t stain at all, and it’s still clean even thought we’ve been through dirt roads. I love how I can turn it into a bassinet when my baby falls asleep at Disneyland and how easy it is to fold and unfold. I would say it is very heavy for me but I can still put it in and out of my suv.

Bought this as we’re expecting baby #4 in less than 10 weeks!! The assembly process was perfect very easy little instructions were needed. Full review available on my socials. I received this product from Stellar Product Reviews in exchange for my honest review. This stroller is amazing. Coming from a mom who is a slight stroller addict and has tried/owned several different types and models, this one is for sure, top of the line. One of my favorite features that is not common on the modular strollers, is the ability to turn the seat into a bassinet! You don't have to buy a separate bassinet. This blew my mind. It lays completely flat with high walls to keep baby safe inside while you push. I don't have a baby that I was able to physically test it with but I can say without doubt, it would work amazing for a newborn. I have a 2 year old toddler that I use it for currently. She seems to like it the stroller. It has good padding for the kid that can be reversed to either be cooling or warming for different seasons. The seatbelt is very easy to put on and has padded shoulder straps. The seat also has several recline positions, including all the way flat. There is a nice extended canopy that can be zipped out of shorter canopy and covers the entire seat! The fact this is included and not a paid add on is amazing to me. It also includes a nice rain cover! The basket is very spacious which is always a plus for us mamas who have to bring everything but the kitchen sink everywhere we go. The included cup holder is nothing fancy but does the job. I love the telescopic push handle as I am very short and my husband is taller. We can both be comfortable when pushing. It's super easy to fold and unfold and I love that it can stand on its own when folded! I wouldn't call it heavy but also wouldn't call it light. I'm petite but can manage to get it into the trunk on my own. It is so smooth to push and has great shock absorbency as well. I love the colors and the leather accents on it. It is definitely a luxury looking and feeling stroller for a less than luxury price. The only thing I wish I could do is convert it to a double. Highly recommend!!

I used the Maxi-Cosi Tayla stroller immediately after receiving the product from Stellar Product Testing Panel in the mail. It just so happened that I was running errands with my mother. She was the first to test out the Tayla stroller and immediately told me, "This pushes like a dream!" I was amazed how smooth it was! I was in a tight aisle and was easily able to turn and navigate with this stroller. It didn't feel bulky or difficult. Not only that, I had to push the stroller with one hand often during this shopping trip. It was so easy! Unfortunately, I have a 3 row car that has absolutely NO SPACE in the truck. Rarely can I transport anything in my trunk. I was so excited because the Tayla actually fit in there easily! The reason why is because the seat can be removed and turned either facing forward or backward. I was able to fold the stroller frame, place it in my trunk and the seat was put in my front seat. Easy as that! I was very excited. Next, let's talk about the seat. I love the fact that I can rear face to provide less distractions for the baby, especially at a young age or even nap time. Forward facing allows the baby to interact and see the world and there is even an option to lay the baby flat in a bassinet type seating. This is an absolutely amazing feature for infants. Having the capability as well as the different options for seat arrangements makes this stroller the only one you'll need during your child's journey! There is a small con in the fact that there is very little under basket storage. A diaper bag will fit there at most. The only other con I see in this stroller is a big one with the opening and closing of the stroller. In order to open the stroller, you have to put your foot on the back of the basket and push down with your foot while simultaneously pulling up on the handle. I'm pretty fit and flexible and this was difficult for me. Unfortunately, our nanny does not have the same fitness level.

I was recently given the opportunity to test the Maxi-Cosi Tayla Max Modular Stroller. This stroller has a ton of great features. My favorite feature is how easily it unfolds and collapses. It's definitely a great stroller to take on errands, since it's so quick to set up. I had no issues fitting it in the back of my crossover SUV. The fact that it stands up on its own is also super convenient for storage. I also really like how easily adjustable the straps were. Moving the shoulder straps to a higher position was very easy, as was tightening and loosening the straps. I appreciated that the waist straps and shoulder straps are together so I just had to interlock two pieces and slide into the crotch buckle. The canopy is also large and when extended, the fabric is nice and tight and lays flat. Definitely a premium look. The sunscreen that zips inside the canopy when not in use is a great feature and saves me keeping track of an additional accessory. The telescoping handle also gets very tall, which is a must for me since I'm 5'8" and my husband is 6'2". I was able to use the seat rear facing and forward facing. Both modes were really easy to use and very intuitive on how to switch between them. My son is 15 months and too tall to use the bassinet mode, but it does have a lot more space to it than a typical stroller bassinet, so it will definitely last longer for younger babies. The cup holder was the one thing I didn't love about this stroller. It didn't snap on super well, so it popped off easily when loading and unloading the stroller. It does stick out quite a bit from the stroller as well. It also felt a little cheap for this premium stroller. This isn't a huge issue for me, as I always use a parent console to hold drinks, but I wanted to point it out. I did absolutely love this stroller and it's our new favorite! Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this stroller to test! I love this stroller! It's nice and lightweight but also has such a smooth ride and awesome capabilities! It can be made into a travel system which is so convenient with a baby! I must say though that my favorite part is that the stroller seat that turns into a bassinet automatically when fully reclined, no adjustments needed. It's super simple just a one handed recline and into a bassinet it goes! It's great for on the go naps! Also the extendable canopy creates great shade while also being breathable and it has an added bonus peek-a-boo window for me to check on my little girl! Another great feature is the reversible seat cushion one side for winter and the other is breathable for summertime. Great feature to keep baby cool and comfortable! The stroller folds super easily but the only negative I ran into is that unfolding it can be a bit of a pain. It seems to get a bit stuck but I'm also not used to it and it's brand new so maybe with a little more use it will break in a bit and become easier…or maybe I'll just get better at it in time! Other than this small drawback this stroller is overall really nice! Highly recommend!!!

I've loved maxicosi as a brand of high quality, thoughtfully designed baby items and the Tayla is no exception. The materials are so soft to the touch and thick in feel. The reversible liner is really nice to accommodate different climates. I think the canopy is pretty good - not huge, but not tiny either. The full netting covering thing is super cool and I'd imagine that would be key for the newborn stage. The handlebar and belly bar are so pretty. The ability for the seat to become a bassinet just by reclining it is brilliant. I've had other strollers where you have to use a different bassinet altogether or worse, remove the toddler seat fabric to put on the bassinet fabric. This is so easy to toggle between the two. Because who needs extra things to potentially lose? That said this is also the source of my main drawback - when in toddler (sitting up) mode, the footrest doesn't independently move from the rest of the seat frame. I have a below avg height 20 month old - he just fits. Unless the stroller is super upright, the seat footwell is in the way of reaching the stroller frame part where bigger kids would put their feet. My 6 year old said that the bottom of the seat frame was pushing on her calves. So it's great until they grow out of being able to rest their feet comfortably on the seat part. The fold is great! It stands on its own and is also slim. If you take off the seat and nest it in the frame gap it takes up even less space - great for SUVs with the 3rd row up. It's a little tricky to unfold - pull up and back and push down with your foot but once you figure it out it's fine. Probably not a great MIL stroller unless you like fielding phone calls in the middle of the day. Lastly the basket is a little small for what it could be. There's just leftover space. I was given this stroller to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I have two kids, and have used my fair of strollers. From high end costing over a grand, to cheap pocket strollers. THIS stroller though, I would have paid more for than the most expensive one I currently own. My husband was able to set it up in less than 8 minutes (yes, I timed him). I was impressed with all the attachments the stroller came with that other brands make you pay extra for, like the cup holder, rain cover, and car seat adapters. The stroller itself transforms positions with ease with the simple click of a button that I could do one handed (something important when out with children). I love that my child could face outwards to see everything, but then could easily be moved to facing me when it was time to nap. The fabric was very gentle on my son's skin which is important to our family as he has eczema, and didn't cause him to have any breakouts. It's a not as lightweight as an umbrella stroller, but definitely light enough for me to load and unload from the back of the car myself. The only part I had trouble with initially was figuring out how to unfold it, but a quick glance at the instructions and it wasn't a problem again. My husband pointed out how much he liked the adjustable handle lengths. It wasn't something I had noticed, but it adjusted higher than our other strollers which made it more comfortable for him to push. So if you're taller, this stroller will also be easy for you to handle. It rolls smoothly and looks very chic. It's a 10 in my book.

My family tried the Maxi-Cosi Tayla as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I received the stroller for purposes of this review, but I did not receive any compensation for it. We have a small two year old at home, so I was excited to try out this stroller. From the pictures I saw prior to using the stroller, it looked very plush and "upscale" but casual. The pictures were accurate. When unboxing the stroller, the first thing I noticed was that very little assembly was required, which was a relief. All that I needed to do was put the wheels and seat on and it was ready to go. Nothing complicated about that! The stroller seat itself was a pretty taupe color with black accents. The seat was plush, which I am sure my daughter appreciated. I appreciated that the straps were easy to loosen and tighten, although the buckling of the straps to the center point was a bit awkward because you have to connect the snaps together. Once I figured that out, it was not a big deal. The wheels to the stroller are sturdy and the braking system is user friendly—I did not feel like I was going to break something simply by pushing my foot down. The stroller basket is a bit small, but does just fine for a regular diaper bag. The cup holder which comes with the stroller is easily attached and removed, which is nice for cleaning or simply leaving behind if wanted. Overall, I would say this is a nice, sturdy stroller with a nice look to it. For it's price point, it seems comparable to its competition. I would recommend this stroller.

RECOMMEND FOR:This is a great stroller for moms of 1 kid, who have the backpack diaper bag, are drinking the latest seasonal brew and are using the stroller for a run near naptime. TRAVELING Mama says: more for light use than everyday While there are 4 modes of seating available, we mostly used the bassinet and sitting straight up all of these in parent facing ( which means you have to change the seat to front facing before folding it down for the car). It was BEYOND EASY to switch from sitting up to laying down and back up again! ( one handed!) The 360 degree extending canopy is superior to other luxury models, it can go half way and then if the sun is in the other direction, unzip and fold to block from the other side!! This is great for walks where the sun peeps in as the kid is falling asleep and can block from any angle! It's easy to see the kid while strolling, but I use parent facing options, so I can usually see them! The reverse cushion is superior to other luxury strollers in my opinion. Specifically, I'm able to take it out and wash out the days snack/ milk without having to fiddle with a whole seat or linen. This is better than my other double kid stroller! The cushion is soft and warm and can be reversed ( which we haven't used as it's colder out) for winter. My toddlers favorite part of the stroller is the privacy canopy, she loves to hop in and pretend she's sleeping and asks for privacy. I love how it is zippered in and stays with the canopy ( one less thing to remember to bring or not have when you need it!) I also love how light the stroller frame is for lifting in and out of the car. I was given this stroller to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and while it has a better canopy and bassinet to our current stroller, because it is a singleton stroller I will not be making the switch to it being my full time. Dislike how unstable the frame feels Love the canopy, how light the frame is and the privacy shade.
