InSinkErator Badger 5 Garbage Disposal, 1/2 HP

I bought a badger 5 1/2hp 12 years ago in april 2014 and it just now went out amazing lasted this long . Great products are those that out last their expiration dates. Thanks mary h

After three years leaking from the bottom reset button. Bearings and seal worn out as well. Piece of junk.

Bought this about 4-5 years ago(not really sure about the exact time frame). Rusted through the bottom, which is the same as what was replaced before. Though, I'm not entirely certain it's not due to the corrosiveness of our water where we live. Either way, I would expect longer life from this product.

Started leaking at the bottom as soon as warranty ran out. Quality is crap compared to older models. I will definitely be looking at a different manufacturer if these aren't laying much past the 5 yrs mark

Well, I would say that the first time I installed a Badger Waste disposal was recommended by my plumber. Now, this is the second one installed and and I am very satisfied to do it. These are the best waste disposal that you can buy.

it doesn't say what size hex wrench to use; it says it comes with one but one is not there. what is the size anybody know or should i just return it like so many seem to do

Inferior to the base builder's quality disposal it replaced. Doubt that it's 1/2 HP, frequently stalled and buzzed, had to keep the hex wrench handy to free it up
