Many people have reported this arrives broken. I ordered anyway, hoping this wouldn't be the case. Unfortunately, mine arrived broken in several pieces - not surprising since it was shipped in a box with no wrapping or padding. I don't understand why a company would continue to ship breakables not wrapped in non shipping boxes again and again.
Ordered the item once and it arrived broken. After returning and deciding to give it one more chance, it arrived broken a second time. Packaging is not sufficient to keep such a fragile piece in tact. It is a shame because it is a beautiful piece.
The item arrived cracked in half. I was disappointed as I would have loved the product. Shipping materials were not sufficient to keep it safe.
Sadly, as others have noted, my butter keeper arrived broken. Given the way it was packaged, it wasn’t any surprise.

It arrived broken, so I’d say the quality of this product is horrible.
I bought this because it said it held 2 sticks of butter... barely holds 1. Quite the disappointment!!! The quality is great. The look and material is outstanding. Description makes me feel taken advantage of.
This butter keeper is lovely! Works well and holds more butter than most others I could find. Looks great sitting on the kitchen counter, too, and has a nice hefty weight to it.
