I like that this hair catcher fits in my drain and is easy to remove. No screwdrivers needed! And it catches the hair and gunk. The only thing is that water accumulates around the edges.
I love this stopper—I was very tired of trying to clear hair from my bathroom sink pipe. I wish you could close the drain to fill the sink with water, but you can’t with this design. It’s also easy to dislodge the center part if you bump it. Otherwise it’s very nice, effective and easy to clean.
I tried this in my tub and work sink and in both, a pool of water sat around the catch, even when I removed the center piece. The only OXO product I've ever been disappointed in.
I don't know who delivered this item, which was Macy's showed up as deliver yesterday, and I din't receive it.
It barely fit into a standard sink drain. When I needed to remove it to replace my faucet and drain, it was impossible to remove without breaking. It also molded quickly.
The great reviews are warranted. This is the first drain catch that really works! We have a LOT of hair in our family. This catch works amazing, easy to install and emptying it is breeze. One of the best OXO purchases we've made & we have many OXO products.
I really love the design of this drain catcher but unfortunately, the silicone lip that holds the base of it in place in our drain is already ripping off. Not entirely sure why this is happening -- we clean it after every shower and are gentle when handling it. I tried glueing the lip back on but I guess not all glues are meant for connecting silicone back to silicone. Woof! Not sure what to do.
I wanted to like this drain catch. It works really well to catch hair in my shower- the problem is that it's difficult to keep clean from hair and soap scum. The well in the middle of the bottom part is very narrow and I can only fit a q-tip in, which still doesn't really clean all the nooks and crannies. I love all of my other OXO purchases but this one is not designed as well as OXO's other products.
This is a great addition to our bathtub. It catches the hair instead of it going down the drain to form a clog later. I have tried other similar products but this is the best. It's simple to remove hair and replace catcher.
