Great dress shoes, with both added style and comfort.

This is my second pair of this style. It's my favorite work shoe. The TruFoam inside is perfect for anyone who needs to stand for long periods of time. I also like the rubber sole as it feels safer than the Italian leather sole for winter wear. The capped toe gives it smart styling. The leather is a bit stiff to start but nothing that can't be fixed with a shoe stretcher.

I bought these shoes in August of last year. They fit perfectly and are very comfortable, but unfortunately the quality is terrible. About six months after I started wearing them, the sole started to come apart. That’s when I realized it isn’t actually stitched—the thread that is supposed to join the sole is completely fake, and instead the glue used is of disastrous quality. I’ve tried to glue them back in several ways, but the result has not been satisfactory. During the process the bonding ends up uneven and stained with adhesive. The sad thing is that they keep coming apart to the point of becoming unusable. I live out of the USA so returning them wasn’t an easy option. I am very disappointed with this product and would not recommend the dress shoe line to anyone.

Good shoe

I only ever wear Johnston and Murphy for my dress shoes. My old ones needed replacing after wearing them everyday for 2 years due to scuff marks that weren’t savable. These shoes had a nicer looking insole and appeared classy like the rest of the J&Ms I’ve had, but the outside material seems cheaper and firmer than needed. They have not gotten much better after wearing them for 3 weeks. Almost too stiff to enjoy.
