The lamps came packaged well, but we didn't get much farther than unboxing the shade. The "sheer" outer shade does in fact sparkle. There is a definite shimmer to the fabric, so much so that if not going for the glam look, you should continue your search. We will be returning in hopes of finding something more classic.

Really like the glass ball and the shade is two layers with a gold trim. This is not the usual swing arm. I am very pleased I looked for a long time before I found this. I also like the fact that it has a built in dimmer

This is a great quality luxe fixture. The dimmer switch is an awesome feature. The mesh lamp shade that sits over the inside glossy shade emits a cloudy soft light when switched on. I even installed the two light fixtures in our guest bedroom by myself! Just plug in and you're a go. You won't be disappointed with this fixture.
