Marmot Men's Leconte Fleece Half-Zip Logo Jacket

Perfect for layering. Went for a few short hikes in the misty cool air of Alaska. Did surprisingly well with the mist and maintaining warmth. I absolutely love this fleece. With just a merino wool shirt on underneath I walked around all day with this. Have not washed it yet, but I wore a backpack both days and haven’t noticed any pilling yet. It’s not overly stretchy which is good as it doesn’t sag as the day goes on. Heavier than some other fleeces I have but I can’t wear those with just a t-shirt on underneath.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought two of these a while back, and both tore along the sleeve cuffs (the stitching came apart). Since I don't wear them very often and the damage happened gradually rather than all at once, I missed the window to make a warranty claim. I own many similar half-zips from various brands, and this is the only one with this issue. Also, I think you should get a size M rather than the size S I usually buy for this type of garment. I’m 5'10" and 165 lbs. I actually liked the full-zip version of this same series much better, and so far, I have no complaints about it. The fabric feels completely different, too.

This is the perfect sweater for me. I like the arm length, not too short for stretching out over my bicycle handle bars. A large is the best fit for me, but sometimes I need to go XL just to get the arm length. I got this in a large and it fits nice without any extra bulk.
