At first the hoops were itchy as though I was allergic to the metal. But it is 14k gold plated which shouldn’t cause a reaction. I took an alcohol pad and wiped the part that goes into the ear really well. I then moved the ear wire back and forth through the ear to cleanse inside the piercing. I now don’t even know I’m. Wearing them. Many compliments.
