When I received the box the shades were damaged and not manufactured well at all. The top of the shade on one had completely come loose from the metal frame. They also had black stain streaks on the linen look material of the shade. I really liked the base of the lamps. Too bad the shades were in a mess.

I should have done my homework on these lamps and found out what they were made out of. I assumed a heavy metal of some type, but they feel like light-weight plastic. They look nice but not impressed with the quality especially for the price. I could have found something similar from Walmart for half the price
